THE CHASTE

2 Corinthians 11:1-3 KJV “Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. (2) For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. (3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
Being chaste is the quality of being focused on holiness from within the heart. Chaste is a state of the mind that stands firm in the simplicity that is in Christ. The virgin is one who has never participated with the body in fornication. “A chaste virgin” is the individual who is focused on holiness with the heart and the mind, and has not participated with the body in fornication. The chaste virgin is secured in the expectation of a relationship of marriage and for that reason allows the mind to be protected from the beguiling subtilty of Satan by standing firm in the simplicity that is in Christ. The quality of being chaste protects the decision of virginity because it requires that we be in close communion with the Holy Spirit.
Virginity is a decision that requires the resolve of the mind, it is not a denial of the urges, but it is the acceptance of the urges and a resolve to express such impulse within the boundary of God word, which includes marriage. It is explicitly stated “Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.” (1 Corinthians 7:2 KJV).
Fornication has a direct effect on our sanctification as it makes our bodies less conducive for the indwelling Holy Spirit, and abstinence from fornication is the most direct indicator of how much we have surrendered to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:” Furthermore, The bible indicates a need for one to understand himself and “know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;” “That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; (5) Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 KJV). Our Knowledge of God depends on our fellowship with the Holy Ghost and it is that knowledge that helps us possess our vessel “not in the lust of concupiscence” but rather, “in sanctification and honour”.
Of a truth, the decision of virginity is respect to one’s own body. “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.” (1 Corinthians 6:18 KJV) And it is the most exemplary way to glorify God. “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:20 KJV)

Worship: Living and Breathing Christ

John 4:24 KJV “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
To worship God is to display our love, admiration and affection for him beyond taking actions to appease him. It is much more than tendering to a mighty God as though he needed it. Acts 17:23-25 KJV “For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. (24) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; (25) Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;”
Although it may have to begin with routine collective and personal devotions to God but true worship evolves beyond devotions into daily living the Spirit and the truth.
This is the Spirit:
Acts 17:26-30 KJV “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; (27) That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: (28) For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (29) Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. (30) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:”
Therefore, to worship God in Spirit is to understand that we are all one family, seek God and make the expression of God the core of your personality from which all actions and thoughts in our daily life proceeds.
This is the expression God:
1 John 4:7-8 KJV “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. (8) He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
Love is the only expression from within our self that defines us as the offspring of God. To worship God in Spirit is to love each other with the intention of seeking God and becoming his offspring in all things, which would be evident in the fruits that proceeds from us including our thoughts, words and actions.

This is Truth:
Truth is the word and it is the Spirit, and it is the anointing.
The word is the unbreakable foundation and representation of the revelation of God, the
Spirit is the personality, character and expressions of God, the anointing is your uniqueness in expressing the word and the spirit.
1 John 2:27 KJV “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” The anointing helps you mould and perfect your uniqueness in being a life of truth.
This is worship “in Spirit and in Truth”:
It is being grounded in the word, full in spirit with love and unique in your expressions of admiration of God including singing exuberant and solemn melody with lyrics from the heart, and have a devoted time to God. Worship “in spirit and in truth” is only full and complete when it is evident in your daily living. This is living and breathing Jesus Christ.
Conclusion:
Devotions such as Church services, singing songs and personal time with God and the likes, keeps us in contact with the word and with the Spirit, and it is worship, but one must evolve beyond devotions and progress into being filled with the love of God, and finds expressions for it in daily living. Thereafter, worship is the transformation into the fullness of God in character until we are a unique expression of the personality of God in the sight of God and all men.
When your thoughts, words and actions proceeds from Christ in you, and you have a devoted fellowship with Jesus Christ, this is worshipping God in Spirit and in truth.

Politics and Government

BASIC POLITICAL ENLIGHTENMENT
Government exist to evolve law and ensure its enforcement which should always result in justice. Justice is and will always be the resultant effect of a functional governmental system. When a governmental system performs this function, within the people a sense of security and welfare will develop and grow spurring them to apply themselves to productive activities. This is the most basic function of government an underline denominator in determining the wealth/impoverishment of a nation, state or country without dependency on other non-human resources.
Just like any important sector in the society such as education or health, government ought to be guided by strict ethical standards and moral codes because it so fundamental that even the advancement of all forms of education which essentially is your ability to exercise your mind and health that deals with the state of your body depends on this most important sector of the society. It is important to note that todays’ government by its implicit or explicit decision making decides tomorrows’ society. It wields a power beyond parenthood in deciding the future of your unborn children.
Government as any other sector is operated by human beings. Human beings no matter how proven of character and integrity should not be afforded a boundless exercise of governmental powers and without discussing the matters of laws the expansive boundary of any governmental power should be the interest of the people being governed – that is, not just citizens but every individual who subjects himself to the existing laws in the sight of God and all men.
As abstract as it might seem, every government system must be built in a way that makes it answerable to the common man following the simple question, how does this affect our children in the future? Can it be better today? The answer of the first should constrain the answer of the second.
THE OCCUPATION OF GOVERNMENT
Medical professionals are titled doctors, Education professionals are titled academics regardless of ranking, and Government professionals are called politicians.
Politics is the professional art of obtaining government power and the level of authority obtained is your ranking title.
And like any other profession it is honoured when the interest of the people is the filter through which you purify your decision. Purifying your decisions is different from justifying it and knowing the difference between the two would define the type of government office holder that you become. Your personality is yours but you can choose your most influencing principle either selfishness/self-centredness or the interest of the general populace and leaving a better society for our children.
INSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT
Government is a factor of and a part of the society but it influences the society more than how the society influences it. A government influence over its society would be felt the instance a decision is made while a society can only influence tomorrows’ government or would need momentum that can produce a loud voice to veto a single decision of the government of the day. Most often, timing and providence/planning are the essential ingredients needed to ignite that force of will. The decisions of government are mostly vetoed by an overwhelming majority of the individual members of society and that needs the inclusion of some strategic political actors, or a coalition of other sectors of society that can arm-twist the government and its institution(s) by influencing economic productivity, and that interaction is the basis of governmental power over the society.
Every governmental system which provides the framework from which government office is obtained and which politics is played is structured on the promise that the output of the system and the institutional framework thereof would cater for the interest of the governed. This means the individuals who exercises the authority of the government sector and its institutions occupy such and same office in fiducial responsibility to the governed. This is not an ethical discourse but the very basis of the existence of government and its institutions. Government institutions are its machineries for seamless operations.
Regardless of how the governmental systems may have evolved over many years starting from the monarchy up unto present day politicking, one thing has always stood out, which is, there must be a harmonious relationship between the daily machinations of law making and the daily execution of laws. To evolve a more pleasant society one principle above all should rule, that principle is as always should be: what would tomorrow be for our children? Our children are the real products of todays’ society and government decisions.
THE DUAL FUNCTION OF GOVERNMENT
The government institution that exercises authority over any people or groups of people are basically tasked with two roles:
Securing the society and the persons therefrom from external threats
Ensuring prosperity for the people within its boundaries who are in obedience to its laws
Every decision and action of government should stem from the above depending upon the constraints and dictates of the most important and thereafter urgent circumstances. Actions that contravenes this are a breaking of trust and a dissociation of self from the fiducial responsibility of government office to the people. Essentially, this makes the government office holder a failure before the eyes of God and before the eyes of society whether or not people take notice.
CULTIVATING A GOVERNMENT SYSTEM
Every governmental system must seek true judgements. True judgement is a careful jettison of false encumbrance, and channelling actions in the interest of the land such as to make it fruitful and habitable for the living souls upon it. It is the function of government to be to her people the origin of and reference for selfless love and service. This develops the land, and gives subsequent government policies its vision, focus and direction. True judgement must be the basis of any formed governmental system. It is the foundation from which operations can be built according to the characteristics of the living occupants of the land. A government system is compelled to change at the behest of the people in order to improve its functioning and service to the people, but its fundamentals which must always be true judgements must never change.
A responsible government would transition at the peoples’ behest without flinching or resisting, and would ensure by its authority that the fundamentals of true judgement would never change. That should always be its last act as it takes itself away and the individuals who exercised its offices should dissociate themselves in all form from the new government system being created. They shouldn’t attempt to influence its formation in any form, they are required to openly and without guile declare their innocence in execution of their office before all men and before God, and should not ask nor accept any form of secret agreement and compensations so as not to corrupt a new system before it even ignites. This is the most intense and burdensome relinquishment most exemplified by its self-sacrificing action which is ultimately displayed in great emotional quaking and is a testimony of the true intentions of a holding government.
Hereafter, responsibility falls on a new government system to define and establish itself on true judgement. Its evolution should interact with the lands’ most contemporary history to channel its actions towards a better present with the future in view. At infancy of a new governmental system, duty calls upon the first office holder(s) to always act strictly by true judgement. It is the responsibility of the first and the subsequent to sacrifice all personal interest and to establish the system because their decisions always constraints others to a certain path. A first officeholder who establishes a new system on a wrong principle or hollow judgement has failed and becomes the first one responsible for any and such failure that may occur in future whether it can be implicitly or explicitly traced to its failure as at the first.

POLITICAL ACTORS
Political actors are individual persons or entities permitted by the extant laws to participate in government procedures and functioning. Political actors embody views, perceptions, goals and visions for the society either by being a living human or as an entity that is alive in the eyes of the law such as a political party.
A political actor occupies two roles:
Occupying government office and therefore exercising such authority as accrue
Being an influence over government office either as a person or a representative of a coalition of interests such as the individual voter/citizen and various stakeholders.
Being a political actor who wishes to occupy or currently occupies government office requires that you define what/who you are, what you stand for, the society you envision and why it is better than what is obtainable today. This channels your effort in a directed way and gives the society a yardstick with which to align with you and judge your output. It also affords you the opportunity to provide markers with which society can determine your project mileage or any such markers peculiar to your vision. Most importantly, it is a yardstick you should use to judge yourself and know when you have either lied or failed. It enables you make adjustments for continuity and to know when you have become obsolete and in need of renewing.
After such and same definition it requires that you lay out your clear plan to the said goal in the display of society that they judge and decide if indeed such change is what they want for themselves. The plan must be constrained by time and expected resource supply so that attainability can be accurately measured and transparency can be cultivated to aid a readjustment of plans in line with the resource supply.
The living human who holds goverment office, whether or not it is the self-same person that embodies the visions should have the ability to discern times and the appropriateness of actions with its effect on society the major fulcrum for decision making. With the government sector, the influence of various interest are always important and are usually impossible to ignore. Therefore whilst always acting in the interest of the people these interest should align itself to the new society of vision. It is expected that these ‘various interests’ are selfless and are willing to transition themselves into new roles or else these would prove themselves an obstruction to the intentions of the government.

PROSPERITY
The prosperity of a land straitly depends on its government and other available resources only serve to aid the achievement of prosperity. An impoverished state, country or society is without doubts, questions or discourse the sole failure and responsibility of the government and changes in such government operations is the only new light. The society is directly influenced and constrained by its government and this is because it is the direct recipient of government decisions. Humans are the true resources for prosperity and government can always harness that potential to create a better society. Government always needs a plan. A plan that is known by its’ society, a plan that can be worked with by the society, a plan that charts a clear path to increase of wealth of the society. This plan helps us isolate and identify obstructions, keeps us focused on the goal and helps us see the risk and potential of certain alternate routes. This plan would help us build sustainably and give insight to our children.
Every society must therefore know and clearly define in unity of mind its’ own goals and prosperity. This would constrain political actors to align the indicators of their personal achievement with this longer term plan and give society more than just a basic understanding of government direction without having the people resort to unclear postulations. It would also without question provide verdict for the success or failure of a particular government office holder. This is the true path to sustainable development. Sustainable development is a clear plan that can be known by society, operated by government in view of resource availability and with clear time constraint. Sustainable development helps us measure progress.
Sustainable development should be refined and should be allowed to evolve. The only time when more is better is when the ‘supposed’ progress of the society is not more of a burden to its people than if it were maintained at an initial point. Society should be a major factor in progress and growth with the true products, that is, our children at the fore of our thinking and thoughts without making any assumptions for them and without beclouding our mind with our own place in history. That is the purest intentions which draws the benevolence of the divine on our affairs and brings about true riches and established prosperity.
Prosperity is a gift which we have inadvertently lost and sustainable development is the only way a society can seek for it.

THE SOCIETY
Society is the coming together of human beings in order to make collective and personal progress/advancement in a manner beyond what would have been achieved if people stay on their own.
Human being makes up the real, potential and assumed importance and value of a society. Human beings are the correct definition of society. Society therefore takes up the innate character of its human beings and is always evolving. Evolution only exists because it can be measured and measuring the evolution of anything requires that there are clear boundaries and constraints, therefore, for a society to exist and for it to measure its evolution it must define itself. The highest form of evolution a society can reach regardless of its individual ancestry by familial relationship is called nationhood.
Nationhood is society without boundaries where human beings subject themselves to the same laws for living, recognize the existence of the same nature, characteristics and principles of the divine allowing this to unify them as one and instruct the values/laws, actions and output of their government. Society should develop its understanding of the nature, characteristics and principles of the divine and allow the divine to produce unity in their lives and action. A society whose understanding of the divine brings oppression, discord, impoverishment, false judgement and no security is a vain, false and failed understanding, and it must correct itself to obtain true nationhood and develop a prosperous society. The author opines that an acknowledgement of no existence of a divine is the acknowledgment of the existence of a divine. It is the authors’ opinion that if the divine does not exist then you would not have to acknowledge its’ existence.
CONCLUSION
The major role of government is to provide security by carefully investing her resources in executing true judgements and always acting in the interest of society and the living beings who exhibit basic biological activities upon the land. This quickens the people to engage themselves in activities that would result in prosperity, growth and a constancy of rejoicing within the land. A government that does this without guile has pleased God and the evolution of a better society is a testament to it efforts which result in praises by the lips of the men upon it.

ADDICTIONS

1 Corinthians 6:12 KJV “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.”
We become addicts to a thing when we allow ourselves to be compelled by such that we lose our decision making power in the face of such thing. Addiction is the inability to wean ourselves of a thing in the face of its negative repercussions or consequences.
The first way to beat any addiction is to decide long before then “I will not be brought under the power of any”, we must choose to hold on to our freewill in the face of all beckoning pleasures. We must decide to possess our freewill. This decision is the first step to prevent and to overcome addictions.
Secondly, an individual must cultivate and hold on to the desire to make positive contributions to the society, and to family with every action. This sense of purpose should govern your decision-making and keep you on your right path. Everything is a lure but this sense of purpose helps recognize the needful and the disease of society.
1 Corinthians 10:23 KJV “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.”
Another way to recognize and to avoid an addiction is to know its direct effect toward your Christian life, toward your personal living, and toward your loved ones, because most often we are not the only ones that suffer the consequences of our actions. It charges a direct cost to the people closest to us.
ADDICTIONS CAN BE HEALED. James 5:16 KJV “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
Healing is two-fold: First, the causative agent must be identified and removed, then the process of restoration must be started and completed.
To obtain healing from addictions, the individual in question must realise his faults and admit it to another trusted person who can pray for him and provide willing assistance to his healings. Prayer is the key to healing an addict, hence, it says “and pray one for another”. We should take note “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”, this simply indicates that producing the intended results with great success depends largely on the persistent prayers from someone who is dedicated and is free from secret sin.

Exodus 18:19-20 KJV “Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God: (20) And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.”

To the prayers, one must add teaching “And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.” This is the secret of effective rehabilitation, teaching comes after persistent prayers from one who is dedicated and is free from secret sin.
In order to achieve results, we must build up our methods based on the truth. Jesus Christ is the truth. 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 KJV “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. (11) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (12) Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; (13) Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. (14) If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. (15) If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
